Outstanding. We popped in after getting off the ferry. The Penn Cove mussels come in a white wine lemon herb sauce that is a great combo bright and savory and the American wagyu burger on brioche was cooked perfectly. The Beecher's cheese and garlic fries were great but a little light on cheese, leaving much of it to be just regular fries. The views of the water and ferry were gorgeous and we will definitely come here again.

We did the PNW Ragnar Relay this past summer and after our van finished all our legs, it was time for a proper meal and we found Callens. They were packed and we ended up waiting for about an hour, we were all so tired though that we passed out in the waiting area. Once seated, our server was very busy but really nice. She got our order in asap but did give us a heads up that the kitchen was backed up and that it was going to be a while. The breakfast sandwich was amazing. I inhaled it. The smashed potatoes were well seasoned and also delicious. We sat by the window and had a wonderful view on a perfectly sunny and clear day.

The bow of chowder, garden salad and fresh bread was amazing! My friend got the crab cakes and loved them as well. They also had a great happy hour (2-5pm weekdays) menu. I will definitely be returning.

Wonderful food. Fresh. Locally sourced. Great staff. Callen's is our go-to place. It tends to be a little chilly in there, but they have cozy blankets to hand out to throw over your lap. The Happy Hour Deal from 2-5 is the best.

What a great spot. I was visiting Whidbey Island and chose to hangout in Coupville. Callen's was one of the top restaurants so I decided to dine here. It's a nice spot right across the ferry. I sat by the window so it gave me a nice water view. Service was awesome from Synda-Marie. 5 STARS. I enjoyed listening to the music that was played on a record player. Wow!!! I haven't seen vinyl 12" records in years. Food: I ordered the smoke salmon served on a fresh bagel. It was delicious and the best I've ever had. I washed it down with a glass of Prosecco. Overall, such a great spot and friendly service.

I stopped in Callen's for a bite to eat because I had just over an hour before my ferry started boarding. I volunteered to sit at the bar and was waited on shortly after seating. After studying the menu I chose to order the breakfast sandwich with sausage patty. When asked if I wanted ciabatta or regular bread, I went with ciabatta. The sandwich was DEEE-licious! It consisted of avocado, tomato, greens, fried egg, and sausage patty. The fried egg wasn't fried through, allowing just a drop or two of liquid yolk. Very nice snack for my ferry ride and two hour trip after.

This place SERIOUSLY ROCKS!!! Had a dinner reservation for 25 people that I booked 3 weeks ahead. One of the few places on Whidbey Island to accommodate that many on busy memorial weekend, and a nice view of the Puget Sound. The staff did FANTASTIC! Everyone was so nice and friendly. Food came out in waves. Scratch restaurant. SOOOO good, so fresh, everything made so yummy. Prices are surprising for the quality of food. I ordered the salmon BLT and everything from the bun to fish tasted *chefs kiss* amazing. Everyone came in hungry and left full. Will definitely come back if I'm on Whidbey Island.
